Month 1 — And the Response Has Been Incredible!

It’s been just over a month since I launched the interest survey for The Mind’s Eye Experience™, and I have to say—your responses have blown me away.

When I started this project, I had no idea if anyone would actually care about a soundproof, immersive TTRPG booth built inside a game store. I mean, I hoped. I believed in the idea. But belief is different from proof. And now, just weeks later, we’re almost at 100 responses—and the survey hasn’t even been up that long.

From the very beginning, the goal was to collect honest feedback. I needed to know whether players actually wanted this kind of experience before I put thousands of dollars into building something that no one would use. And now? Well, it turns out a whole lot of you do want it.

As of today, 82% of people who’ve taken the survey said they’re interested—or very interested—in trying it out. That number floored me. And it wasn’t just the numbers. It was what people were saying.

One person wrote:
“Sound-proofed privacy is the most appealing thing for me. I have played in game stores before and it feels awkward to have others come and eavesdrop. It breaks the immersion and makes me and all my players feel self conscious.”

That one hit hard. Because that’s exactly what pushed me to start building this in the first place. I’ve been there—trying to keep a group focused while people hover, walk past, or outright listen in. It pulls you right out of the world you're trying to create. And in a hobby that’s all about storytelling and imagination, that kind of break in immersion can ruin the whole experience.

So here we are. One month in. Not selling anything. Not running ads. Just asking, “Would this be useful to you?” And the answer, overwhelmingly, has been yes.

Next step? Getting game store owners on board. If the demand is here—and it clearly is—then it’s time to show stores what this could do for their community. A private, immersive booth that doesn’t cost them anything up front, adds a new revenue stream, and makes their store stand out? I think it’s a win-win. But it’ll take some conversations, some data, and a lot of persistence to make it real.

And that’s where you come in. If you haven’t filled out the interest survey yet, or you know someone who might be interested, I’d be so grateful if you could share it. My goal is to hit 200 responses by the end of August, and we’re well on our way.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for caring. This dream is starting to feel real—and it’s because of you.
